Bicycle Licensing
Why Should I License My Bike?
As part of bicycle registration, a bike’s serial number is recorded. In the event that the bicycle is stolen, the serial number is entered into a national database. If that bike is recovered, police can verify the owner and very likely return the bicycle. Every bike that was licensed prior to its theft and then recovered by ASU Police was matched to its owner.
