Directions to Camp Tontozona

From Phoenix, proceed north on Highway 87 (aka Country Club or the Beeline Highway) to Payson.

At the north end of Payson, at the intersection of Highways 87 and 260, turn right. (There is a McDonald's on the SE corner.) Follow Hwy 260 to Kohl's Ranch, approximately 17 miles NE of Payson. When you reach Kohl's Ranch, check your odometer reading and proceed one more mile to the Camp Tontozona turnoff. A Camp Tontozona sign marks the road into the camp. The road is paved and will be located on your right as you come from Payson. Proceed down the road until you reach the cabins. The caretaker's cabin will be the first cabin on your left. The resident caretaker is Tom Dunny.
